To a Blind Person...

It is as beautiful as a child's innocence.
It is as calming as a lullaby.
It is as gentle as the sound of waves brushing against a shore; as delicate as the snowflakes that fall from heaven on Christmas morn.
If it had a flavour, it would surely taste as sweet as the juice from a ripened peach.
If it had a scent, it would smell like a lavender flower - known for it's soothing qualities.
And if it could be touched, it would be like wearing a blanket that just came out of a dryer; so warm and comforting... Ahhh....

It is beautiful, I think you would agree,
Almost perfect, at least to me.
But to you, a person without sight,
All that is visible, is the piercing light.

I hope my descriptions did it justice and gave you eyes for a moment or two.

It, of course, is a sunset.

What did you imagine it to be?
